Dr. Barlow considers it one of the greatest privileges of her career to have assisted mothers in birthing the next generation - an experience that shaped her lifelong dedication to compassionate, dignified, and family centered care.
Driven by a passion for excellence and a belief that healthcare must continually evolve, Greer pursued advanced academic training, earning a Master of Science in Healthcare Informatics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Long before digital transformation became a global priority, she recognized the critical role of information technology in improving patient outcomes and operational efficiency. This early vision positioned her as a regional pioneer in healthcare informatics.
Her tenure at Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) spanned more than three decades, during which she served in multiple senior leadership roles. Most notably, she led the highly successful implementation of the Epic EMR across the enterprise - one of the most significant digital transformations in the Middle East. This achievement strengthened clinical quality, enhanced patient safety, and modernized care delivery, marking a defining milestone in her professional journey.
Dr. Barlow holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (Executive Track) from the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, further deepening her expertise in systems leadership, organizational culture, and patient centered transformation. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her passion, energy, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to “doing what is right” for patients and their families. Her leadership is grounded in integrity, empathy, and a relentless pursuit of excellence in every dimension of care.
Having lived in the Kingdom of Bahrain for more than a decade, commuting daily across the King Fahd Causeway to JHAH, she considers Bahrain her ‘forever home’. Her deep connection to the community strengthens her commitment to elevating the patient and family experience across all AMH facilities.
In her role as CPXO, Dr. Barlow leads AMH’s enterprise-wide patient experience strategy, ensuring that every interaction reflects the organization’s Mission to provide high quality, compassionate care to all; its Vision to be the first choice for individuals and families seeking excellence in healthcare; and its Values of service, respect, integrity, and continuous improvement.
