The American Mission Hospital welcomes you to its job-on-line website. The Medical Administration consists of a quality care driven, mission-oriented medical staff that addresses primary to secondary healthcare services to both local Bahrainis and expatriates. We have achieved more than a century-long experience of providing out-patient, urgent care, and in-patient services manned by a team of more than 60 General Physicians and Specialist in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Endocrinology, Pulmonology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, General Surgery, Pediatrics (including Neonatology, Neurology, Pulmonology, and Gastroenterology), Dermatology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Psychiatry and Physiotherapy. We are also equipped with Diagnostic Imaging, Anatomic and Clinical Pathology services. Our Dental Clinics cover a wide range of services such as general dental procedures, orthodontics to maxillofacial-surgeries and implantology. The Out-patient, Pediatric and Obstetrics/Gynecology clinics are highly demanded services at AMH addressing at least 450 patients a day from morning until evening in addition to our 24 hour Urgent Care Unit. Besides having two In-patient wards with a total of 40 beds, we also have a Special Care Baby Unit and an Increased Acuity Care Unit which helps bring more specialized care to our patients. We also have a satellite Out-patient medical and dental clinic in Saar (situated in the north of the island). We are very active in community outreach programs and this is what distinguishes American Mission Hospital from the other healthcare providers. Be a part of our team … as we continue “to provide quality, affordable medical care services to all who seek our care”.
AMH Nursing Department Over the past few years, the Nursing Department has been developed and reorganized with the aim of improving the quality of nursing care and service provided to clients. The Department is responsible for the nursing care in both the Out-patient and In-patient areas. The Out-patient areas consist of the main OPD, Medical, Surgical, Pediatric, ENT, Orthopedic, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pain Management, Ophthalmology and Diabetic/Hypertensive clinics. There are 2 In-patient areas; the Medical Surgical Unit and the Obstetrics/Gynecology unit comprising a total of 40 beds. Over the recent years, the Department has worked to gain accreditation by the Australian Council for Health Care Standards International (ACHSI). In November 2006, the hospital underwent its first full survey, which it passed with no major recommendations. The accreditation was subsequently awarded in May of 2007 making the Hospital the first to attain such an organization-wide accreditation in Bahrain.
