    Medcare Launch

American Mission Hospital launched a new Healthcare system called MedCare on 1st of March 2016 by replacing the 20 years old legacy system. This is an in-house developed application and tailor made to suit the requirement of AMH. This adds up to improve the quality of patient care by giving user friendly interface to doctors and other staffs. Electronic Claim Form, Machine interface, PACS viewing, Insurance Statement & tracking and many more are the new features of MedCare.

Implementation on all three locations were carefully dealt and analysed, thus achieving smooth transition in day one and brought the entire system to stable in a week time.

Legacy systems on which the company depends are also creaking at the seams, costing more each year to maintain, limited in capacity and always carrying the risk of a shut-down. The patches and adaptations not only get harder to do but become a competitive liability as other companies introduce new functionality and efficiency. Yet when the senior managers think about the risk and cost of replacing the legacy system wholesale, they are horrified. Neverthless, the plan of changing the legacy system was initially thought by Dr. George Cherian, CEO of American Mission Hospital during 2010 when he took over the position of CEO in AMH and it took nearly 6 years to succeed and eventually came out with state of the art healthcare system in the island of Bahrain, designed and developed by the Hospital Information Systems Department.

New product MedCare leverages the power of automation and integrates seamlessly with Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Billing/Insurance and other modules.

Our mission is to continue to deliver quality health care for our patients at an affordable price.
