Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic
The Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic has steadily grown through the past years. Patients seen by the consultants in Saar clinic include those of the obstetric and gynecologic cases.
The clinic is open daily from Saturday till Thursday. There are regular antenatal check-ups including diagnostic and investigative procedures, office obstetric ultrasound, CTGs( cardiotocograghy), contraceptive management and dietary counselings (done by our nurse counselor).
In gynecology, there are Well Woman check-ups (including Pap smear, Pelvic ultrasound, Mammograms/breast ultrasound coordinated with AMH Manama), gynecologic examinations, investigations and management of women's diseases.
Gynecologic cases usually include menopause, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, vaginal infections, contraception and initial infertility work-ups. Routine smear tests and minor procedures such as cautery, biopsy, loop insertion and removal are done in the clinic as well.
Delivery and antenatal classes are conducted in Manama, since Saar Clinic is primarily an outpatient facility.
Normal deliveries and cesarean sections as well as post operative gynecologic cases are admitted as in-patients in AMH Manama. Tests such as nuchal translucency measurements and congenital anomaly scans are done in Manama.
We hope that in the near future we will be able to offer colposcopy procedures as well, and even deliveries, as there has been an increasing clamor for such here in Saar.
