I have been in this position since the beginning of October 2010, and I feel privileged to be at the head of so much talent and competence. I am encouraging my staff to carry on with their mission, matching expertise with kindness, and skills with empathy, to let our patients feel at home despite the presence of pain and disease around them and within them.
Our departments are growing as you are reading these words. Our Anesthesia Department, with its new staff, has evolved to a great degree, and in Obstetrics, we are now providing epidural analgesia on a routine basis for patients in labor. Amniocentesis is now available for prenatal genetic analysis;our Infertility unit is introducing intrauterine insemination to complement ovulation induction. Expansion also involves Orthopedics, Pediatric Neurology, and the Dental Department with the recent introduction of conscious sedation.
I will strive for AMH to remain the sanctuary for outstanding medical care, yet affordable and compassionate. Quality care, delivered with grace, truth and love; this is our motto.
