Throughout his 32 years in medical practice, Dr. Kalyan has been interested and involved in the alleviation of pain and has been able to do so through his specialty in Anesthesia. General Practice has given him the foundation for understanding people with the variables in sickness.

Working in the two fields of Anesthesia and General Practice, has enabled him to extend his expertise in the advice, education, treatment and management of chronic pain.

"Pain is an essential for life as it serves as a defense mechanism and sharpens the senses for full preservation. However, when pain persists, as in chronic pain, it affects the person's psychological well being and produces feelings of anger, sadness, depression and often hopelessness. I consider it a personal responsibility to give to the patient some glimmer of hope through the experience and knowledge I have been blessed with. It takes time, but that's what we're here for", says Dr. Kalyan.

Apart from being a doctor, he is also a well known musician. His forte is mainly in Harmony and Vocal Arrangements.
